2005 Spring Schmooze Road Trip

Eric Isaacson and Gary Elfring arrived in Burbank Tuesday afternoon. Of course, we had to visit the Burbank Fry's store, which is just down the street from the airport.

On Wednesday, we toured the La Brea Tar Pits. Yes, "la brea" means "the tar" in Spanish, so technically it is "the the tar tar pits". We also drove through Hollywood and took a trip through Santa Monica, coming back to the Valley by way of scenic Beverly Glen.

On Thursday, we were on the road by 6:00 am, to beat the traffic out of L.A. Gary dozed in the back seat while I drove and Eric selected theme music. For most of the trip we followed California's convenient, but rather dull, I5. Around lunch time, we left the interstate and headed for the bay area. We had lunch at Chef Chu's in Los Altos, where we were greeted and seated by Chef Chu himself.

Then we headed for San Francisco, and a drive across the Golden Gate Bridge.

It could be 1968
