Spud Gun

Once again this year, Bob Ostrander brought his infamous potato bazooka;
also known as the "spud gun". Here he brazenly displays it in the
hotel lobby, along with the fuel: a can of hairspray.
We all went out to the back packing lot to see the gun in action. Harold,
Nida, ChrisT, and Richard watch Bob demonstrate.
Nida rams the potato down the cannon barrel. The tip of the barrel shaves
the potato edges so that they form an airtight fit in the barrel.
Nida aims the gun at the nearby trash dumpster.
Bob and ChrisH hold the gun up, as Richard sprays fuel into the firing
chamber.
Andrei, Gary, Rosemary, Harold, Sharon and ChrisT watch from a safe distance.
Harold makes a good target, standing in front of the dumpster.
Rosemary picks up her first firearm.
Rosemary shoots her first firearm.

After the shooting session, Gary, Andrei, ChrisT, Dan, Nida, and Rosemary
loiter in the back hallway.
