Sunday morning, I was definitely not well enough to drive. Fortunately, Eric was feeling much better, so he took the wheel while Gary played D.J. and I dozed off now and then in the back seat. We had originally planned to take the scenic route home, but under the circumstances we preferred the quickest possible journey. When we got back to my house, my husband Steve and the guys went out for dinner while I rested. I still felt rotten Monday, so I stayed home while Eric and Gary took a long hike around the Chatsworth reservoir. I dragged myself out to my Italian class Monday night while Steve barbecued lamb chops at home.
On Tuesday, I took Eric and Gary for a tour of beautiful downtown Burbank. We discussed the possibility of having a Schmooze there. After a quick lunch, I took them back to the airport and said goodbye.
Don't be misled. The Schmooze was not just a mini-vacation or old friends' reunion, although those things are certainly a part of any good Schmooze. We talked about marketing, product development, search engines, customer support, and money matters. We brainstormed. We complained. We offered suggestions. We learned something new. We laughed.
